Book Review: The Seer's Daughter by Athena Daniels

A RIPPING good read!

This is one of the best books I've read in quite a while. I absolutely couldn't put it down, and when I'd finished it I promptly bought the second in the series because I was dying to know what happened next.

When I looked up The Seer's Daughter on Amazon I discovered that it had been nominated for a whole bunch of awards, and I absolutely understand why. It deserves them.

This is a wonderful romantic suspense, with the suspense and the paranormal aspects steadily increasing throughout the book as our heroine, Sage, discovers the deadly secrets her grandmother was desperately trying to protect her from in the small South Australian town of Cryton.

Sage's love interest is Ethan, a skilled detective sent out from Adelaide to investigate the murder of Sage's grandmother... the work of a serial killer who turns out to be a lot more than just that. The story is absolutely compelling, the romance between Sage and Ethan scorching hot (there are a couple of love scenes that really burn up the pages!) and the tension steadily increasing as the paranormal forces at work begin to reveal themselves.

This was SO GOOD. I'll be looking for more of Athena Daniels' work. An author to watch!

Disclaimer: I received an ARC of this book for review through ReadingAlley.
